How to Plan Your Purchase Around the Rebate
Start with a list, not a cart. Write down every appliance you expect to replace in the next year, then mark which ones are urgent. Package rebates reward buying together, so a dishwasher you planned to replace in the spring may be worth adding now if it moves you into the next tier.
Measure before you choose models. Check the cutout width, depth to the front of the cabinets, the height under the counter and the clearance for doors to swing open. Confirm the fuel type and electrical supply too: gas or electric, 240-volt or 120-volt, and whether a hood can vent outside. A model that does not fit costs far more to fix than any rebate pays back.
Check every model number against the rebate page. Only the models on the GE Profile rebate page count, and close model numbers can differ by finish or fuel. Keep a screenshot of the qualifying list with your order so the claim matches what you bought.
Keep your paperwork. Save the itemized invoice, the delivery receipt and the model and serial numbers from each appliance. Mail-in and online claims usually ask for all three, and many have a deadline after the purchase window closes.
