Delivery & Installation Preparation Guide
To ensure a smooth delivery and installation experience, please review the information below before your scheduled delivery date. Proper preparation helps prevent delays, damage, failed services, and additional fees.
General Delivery Preparation
- Review the Specifications section on the product page to confirm appliance dimensions.
- Remove furniture, décor, rugs, or obstacles to create a clear and safe pathway.
- If you are unsure about fit or access, you may take photos or videos and contact our team for assistance.
- An adult (18+) must be present to receive and sign for delivery (19+ required in Alabama and Nebraska).
- Ensure exterior walkways are clear of snow, ice, and debris.
Measure Everything
- Measure all doorways, hallways, staircases, and turns along the delivery path.
- Compare measurements with the boxed dimensions (shipping size) and installed dimensions (final fit).
- Remember to account for handles, trim, hinges, and leveling legs.
- Double check clearance for door swing if applicable to ensure your appliance can be opened once installed.
- Allow ventilation gaps listed in the spec sheet — typically 1/2”–2” behind and above.
Old Appliance Removal
- Disconnect and empty old appliances before installer arrival.
- Remove any contents, racks, or residual water.
- For freezers and refrigerators, unplug and fully defrost 24 hours prior. Remove all water/ice; units with moisture inside cannot be hauled away.
- If installing a replacement, ensure connections are ready to accept new fittings.
Inspect Before Install
- Inspect your appliance for visible damage before installers begin.
- If damage is found, take photos and contact support immediately for further instructions before continuing installation.
- Once installed, cosmetic claims may be denied.
Important Installation & Service Availability Notice
- Installation and haul-away services must be purchased on the product page or in the cart prior to placing your order.
- Installation and haul-away services are only performed when In-Home Delivery or White Glove Delivery is selected.
- If your shipping method displays Curbside Delivery, installation and haul-away services cannot be performed, even if added to your order.
- The same carrier delivering your appliance will perform installation and/or haul-away at the time of delivery.
- Our delivery partners are trained professional installers — no separate appointment is required.
Packaging Removal Policy
- Packaging and box removal are NOT included with standard In-Home Delivery, installation services, or appliance haul-away.
- Packaging removal is only included with White Glove Delivery, where available.
- White Glove Delivery availability is shown based on ZIP code during checkout.

Cutout & Cabinet Dimension Preparation
- Always check the manufacturer installation guide before install day.
- Verify that cabinet openings meet the exact cutout dimensions (width, height, depth).
- If trim kits are required, confirm you have the correct model-specific kit.
- For built-ins (wall ovens, microwaves, cooktops), ensure the cutout is square and leveled.
- Maintain proper ventilation clearance as required for each appliance — failing to do so can void the manufacturer’s warranty.
