Frequently asked questions by customers
Q: What type of detergent should I use?
A: Only use High Efficiency (HE) detergent. These formulas are low-sudsing and specially designed to work effectively in high-efficiency machines like the MVW5435P.
Q: How often should I replace the water inlet hoses?
A: It's recommended to replace the hoses every five years to prevent possible leaks or failure. Regularly check them for signs of bulging, cracking, or wear.
Q: Do I need to use an anti-scaling agent?
A: No, it’s not necessary. You can prevent scale buildup by avoiding frequent high-temperature washes and using the appropriate amount of detergent.
Q: What temperature should I choose for washing clothes?
A: Refer to your garment care labels. This washer offers cold, warm, and hot settings to suit a variety of fabric types.
Q: Why isn’t my washer draining?
A: A clogged drain hose or blocked pump filter may be the cause. Cleaning both components should restore normal drainage.
Q: Why won’t my washer spin?
A: Try redistributing the laundry to balance the load. Also inspect the motor and belt for signs of damage or wear.
Q: What causes excessive vibration during the cycle?
A: Check that the washer is level by adjusting its feet. If vibrations continue, the shock absorbers may need to be inspected or replaced.
Q: Why is water leaking from my washer?
A: Leaks can result from loose hose connections or a worn door seal. Inspect and tighten connections, clean seals, and replace any damaged parts.
Q: What’s causing strange noises during operation?
A: Unusual sounds may come from unbalanced loads or loose components. Evenly distribute clothes in the drum and tighten any visible screws or hardware.
