Features:

A smarter clean with PrecisionWash®
With Bosch PrecisionWash®, simply start your dishwasher and walk away. Intelligent sensors continually scan and check the progress of dishes throughout the cycle, and powerful, precision spray arms go to work targeting every item of every load. So when your dishes are done, so are you.

The ultimate dry with CrystalDry™
At Bosch, we believe dishes should receive a powerful clean and then be thoroughly dry. Patented CrystalDry™ technology transforms moisture into heat up to 176˚F to get dishes 60% drier,* so you can put away your plastic dishes immediately into the cupboard when the dishwasher is finished. *Based on aggregate average drying performance of Bosch Dishwashers with CrystalDry™ on combined household load including plastics, glass, steel, and porcelain as compared to Bosch Dishwashers with PureDry®. Drying performance may vary by dish type.

42 dBA -- the quietest dishwasher brand in the U.S.*
A range of technologies makes Bosch the quietest dishwasher brand in the U.S.* with impressively low decibel levels. For you, that means never having to wait until going to bed to run the dishwasher. *Based on an average of sound ratings of 24"" Full Size Stainless Steel Tub dishwashers contained in major brands websites. Fit in tall items with RackMatic®
RackMatic® easily adjusts to three different heights and up to nine separate rack positions, allowing taller items like stemware to fit in the middle rack while leaving room for pots and pans below.

✅ Pros

🔇 Ultra-Quiet Operation (≈42 dBA)

• Users describe it as “whisper quiet” – you can barely hear it running.

🧼 Stellar Cleaning & Drying

• PrecisionWash ensures thorough cleaning—Independent tests show 98–99% stain removal in even quick cycles.
• CrystalDry™ (zeolite-based) yields consistently bone-dry dishes—including plastics—on every cycle.

🌟 Smart & Flexible Interior

• Includes a full third rack, adjustable RackMatic middle rack, and fold-down tines for flexible loading.
• ADA-compliant and slightly shorter height adds accessibility without sacrificing capacity.

🌐 Smart Features & Leak Protection

• Home Connect Wi‑Fi allows remote start, cycle monitoring, voice control (Alexa/Google), and smart detergent reordering.
• 24/7 AquaStop® Plus safeguards against leaks.

❌ Cons

🕒 Cycle Time & Energy Use

• Considered fair on full, heavily soiled loads; heavy cycles can run long—well beyond two hours

🟢 Minor Redeposit Issues

• In rigorous lab tests, approximately 25% of dishes showed minor green flecks (e.g., spinach redeposit), though this is rare and only for tough stains

🚪 Door & Rack Remarks

• Some users at Costco report the door spring feels stiff ("tough to open," "snaps shut quickly").
• A few find the third rack less intuitive or helpful

✅ Conclusion

The Bosch SGX78C55UC is one of the best DSM picks in the Bosch lineup:

• Noise-free performance lets it run discreetly in open-plan homes.
• Top-tier cleaning and drying—even plastics come out fully dry, thanks to CrystalDry™.
• Smart conveniences like Wi‑Fi, voice control, and leak protection enhance safety and ease.
• ADA design and flexible loading are well-suited for accessible modern kitchens.

If you're okay with somewhat longer cycles—and don’t mind the slightly stiff door—it delivers premium performance that's hard to beat. The occasional minor redeposit on very tough stains won’t affect most users.

Bottom line: For those wanting quiet, spotless, smart, and fully dry dish loads with premium features—and willing to invest accordingly—the SGX78C55UC is an outstanding choice. Prefer faster cycles or simpler door feel? Consider stepping down to the 500 Series or another 800 model.
