Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can this model be converted to ductless/recirculating mode?
A: Yes. You can convert the unit to ductless operation by purchasing the carbon filter kit (Part # CFK4) separately, using the included vent caps to block top/rear exhaust, and switching the motor’s setting to the recirculating icon.
Q: How often should the aluminum mesh grease filters be cleaned?
A: The reusable aluminum mesh grease filters should be cleaned every 8–10 weeks, depending on how frequently you cook and how much grease is produced.
Q: What are the venting options (top/back/ductless)?
A: The hood supports venting either from the top or the back. It also supports a ductless recirculation setup if you add the carbon filter kit.
Q: Are the LED lights bright enough for cooking?
A: The hood includes built‑in LED lighting to illuminate the cooktop area. Some users find the lighting adequate, though a few note it may not be as bright as dedicated under‑cabinet lights.
Q: What maintenance is required beyond filter cleaning?
A: Maintenance includes cleaning or replacing the filters periodically, ensuring the venting system remains unobstructed, and verifying the unit remains properly mounted. For ductless setups, you'll also need to replace the carbon filter every 3–12 months.
