Frequently asked questions-
Q1: How do I reset the power failure code ("PF" or "8888")?
A: To clear the power failure code, press the "CLEAR" or "CLEAR/OFF" pad. This code typically appears after an initial setup or a temporary power interruption and does not indicate a major issue.
Q2: How do I use power levels effectively?
A: Use lower power levels for gentle cooking tasks such as defrosting, simmering, or reheating delicate foods. Higher power levels are ideal for cooking vegetables or boiling liquids quickly.
Q3: How do I activate or disable the child lock?
A: The child lock feature prevents accidental operation. To activate or deactivate it, press and hold the designated button (often the "OPEN" or "LOCK" button) for several seconds until the lock indicator appears or disappears from the display.
Q4: What does the “Add 30 Seconds” feature do?
A: The “Add 30 Seconds” button allows you to quickly extend the cooking time in 30-second increments without interrupting the current cycle.
Q5: My microwave runs but doesn’t heat. What should I do?
A: This may indicate a faulty thermostat or a malfunctioning electronic control board. If the issue persists after checking the settings, the unit may require professional service.
Q6: Why does my microwave turn off before the set time?
A: The microwave may shut off early if the vents are blocked or there isn’t enough airflow around the unit. Ensure proper clearance and ventilation to prevent overheating.
