Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Does the FDBI36S feature an internal or external water dispenser?
A: The FDBI36S focuses on a completely smooth, seamless exterior. Depending on the exact trim configuration, it utilizes an internal water dispenser (such as InfinitySpring) or an internal IceMaker to keep the front panels smooth and uninterrupted.
Q: How do the BioFresh safes extend food freshness?
A: The BioFresh compartments maintain temperatures slightly above 32°F (0°C) with tailored humidity levels. DrySafe settings protect meat and dairy, while HydroSafe settings maintain high humidity for fresh fruits and vegetables, keeping items fresh up to three times longer.
Q: What are the installation requirements for a counter-depth fit?
A: The FDBI36S is designed to align flush with standard 24-inch depth kitchen cabinetry. It fits into a standard 36-inch wide opening and utilizes concealed hinges for smooth clearance when opening doors.
Q: What is the FlexDoorSystem?
A: The FlexDoorSystem includes engineered door hinges and drawer rails that allow the doors and freezer compartments to open and close smoothly, quietly, and securely, preventing doors from slamming or accidentally bouncing open.
Q: How does DuoCooling benefit food storage?
A: DuoCooling utilizes two entirely separate, independent refrigeration circuits for the fridge and freezer. This prevents dry freezer air from dehydrating fresh food in the refrigerator and prevents strong food odors from crossing over into your ice or frozen goods.
