Pros and Cons of Samsung RM80F22WEW Bespoke 36 inch Counter Depth 4-Door French Door Refrigerator
Pros
-
Stylish and modern design: Offers a sleek white-glass finish with customizable panels and a fingerprint-resistant exterior.
-
Efficient space and layout: Its counter-depth build still feels roomy thanks to the 4-door configuration and zero-clearance fit that lets it sit flush against walls.
-
Convenient features: Comes with an internal AutoFill water pitcher for quick, filtered water access and a dual auto ice maker that provides both cubed and Sphere Ice.
-
Smart technology: Works with the SmartThings app for temperature control and alerts, and includes AI Energy Mode to help lower energy usage.
-
Quiet operation: Many users note that it runs very quietly.
Cons
-
Door misalignment: Some units experience misaligned doors that can compromise the seal and cause persistent freezer frost with no effective fix.
-
Limited shelf adjustability: Shelf and door-bin configurations are somewhat restrictive, making custom storage tricky.
-
Ice maker issues: The plastic ice-maker cover may stick, and users sometimes need to pull ice forward manually because the level sensor reads from the back.
Conclusion
The Samsung RM80F22WEW offers an attractive design and strong feature set—like the internal water pitcher and dual ice makers—that make it feel modern and convenient. However, potential buyers should be aware of recurring quality-control concerns, particularly door alignment problems and a somewhat finicky ice-maker design. Even so, many users still view it as a high-performing refrigerator and a notable improvement over older models.
