JennAir Professional Ranges: RISE vs NOIR, Gas vs Dual Fuel
How JennAir RISE and NOIR ranges differ, when to pick gas or dual fuel, and how five pro-style models compare.

JennAir professional ranges come in two design styles, RISE and NOIR, and in all-gas or dual-fuel versions. Under the styling they share a lot: Dual-Stacked PowerBurners up to 20,000 BTU, true convection ovens, a temperature probe, Wi-Fi and self-clean.
This guide explains RISE vs NOIR, gas vs dual fuel, and how the 30-, 36- and 48-inch models compare, using the specs listed on each product page for five ranges we carry.
- RISE has a bolder look with tubular bar handles; NOIR is the minimal style with flat handles.
- Every model here has 20,000 BTU burners, true European convection, a temperature probe, Wi-Fi and a self-clean oven.
- Gas models plug into a 120-volt outlet; dual-fuel models need a 240-volt, 40-amp circuit.

RISE vs NOIR: What Is the Difference?
RISE and NOIR are design styles, not performance tiers. RISE has a bolder, sculpted look with tubular bar handles. NOIR is cleaner and more minimal, with flat handles. Pick the one that matches the rest of your kitchen; JennAir offers matching refrigeration, dishwashers and hoods in both styles.
On the models here, burners, convection, probe and smart features are the same across styles, so you are choosing mainly on looks and on size and fuel.
- RISE: bold look, tubular handles
- NOIR: minimal look, flat handles
- Same core cooking features on the models here
Gas vs Dual Fuel
All-gas ranges cook with gas on the cooktop and in the oven. They only need a gas line and a standard 120-volt outlet, which makes them easy swaps. Dual-fuel ranges use gas burners over an electric oven. Electric ovens hold an even, dry heat that many bakers like, but you need a 240-volt, 40-amp circuit as well as gas.

Planning the Install
All five ranges are freestanding pro-style models about 29 13/16 inches deep with handles, so they stand a bit proud of standard counters. Every natural gas model here includes an LP conversion kit if your home uses propane.
Pro burners and grills need strong ventilation. Plan a hood at least as wide as the range; our range hood buying guide explains sizing and CFM.
