Faber Hood Styles Explained
Under-cabinet hoods mount under the cabinet above your range. They are the simplest choice for most kitchens. Slide-out hoods like the Flexa are a version of this that hides when closed.
Wall-mount chimney hoods go on an open wall with no cabinet above, and the chimney cover runs up to the ceiling. Inserts are the opposite: they are built into a custom hood cover so the hood itself almost disappears. For island cooktops, look at ceiling-mount hoods instead, which hang from the ceiling over the island.

How Much CFM Do You Need?
CFM is how much air the hood moves per minute. For most standard electric ranges, 200 to 400 CFM is usually plenty. Gas ranges with strong burners and cooks who sear, stir-fry or grill indoors benefit from more, which is where the 600 CFM chimney and 1200 CFM capable insert come in.

Installation Checklist
Check the duct first. The Levante models accept a 7-inch round or a 3 1/4 x 10-inch rectangular duct and can vent out the top or rear, which makes them easy replacements. The Flexa uses a 5-inch round duct, and the Inca Pro Plus uses a 6-inch round duct.
